  • GEOPlace.com - GEOWorld Magazine's website
  • US Census Bureau's GIS Gateway - links to other GIS net resource collections, university sites, job sites, information servers and metadata servers
  • The GIS Portal, from Harvard Design and Mapping
  • Odden's Bookmarks - Heavy on maps and cartography, also links to organizations and universities
  • Sari's GIS Net-links- Big collection, lots of data, international in scope, from Unity College,ME
  • Sam Wormley's Maps and Mapping Agencies
  • Spatial News - Business focus, from GeoCommunity
  • University of Edinburgh- Huge list, business, govt, data, etc; sorted alphabetically with search capability
• A useful Directory of Geoscience Organizations of the World from the ICOGS (International Consortium of Geological Surveys) Secretariat for Asia and the Pacific region has contact info for 378 organizations worldwide, with links to those with a web presence.

  • Dice.com is a good high-tech job site; a search on "gis" in Sep 01 netted 150 entries, including some good management positions.
  • Directionsmag.com is a good geo publication on the web, with a searchable job board.
  • Earthworks.com has jobs in Europe, North America and elsewhere, focus is on academic and research positions.
  • The Finex Group Executive GIS search page
  • GeoCommunity.com has a comprehensive employment resource page.
  • Geo Job Source in Princeton, NJ
  • Geo Recruiter is a geo headhunter.
  • The Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA) has GIS related jobs in the AM/FM field
  • GeoWeb Interactive seems to have a large listing, lots of non-related background noise.
  • GISCareers.com has job and resume listings.
  • GISdevelopment.net is the self-proclaimed Asian GIS portal, with the bulk of the extensive listings in India; quite a few in Australia and some US as well.
  • GIS Jobs Clearinghouse is probably the mother of all GIS job sites, with several new listings per day.
  • Millenium Technical Contracting advertises themselves as GIS recruiters also specializing in the CAD and Engineering fields
  • GIS User has a limited selection of postings, but they're mainly in Australia, which I suppose makes them worth more.
  • The Society for Conservation GIS has jobs in conservation organizations
